FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

KCAC to Obtain STC for Installation of Universal
Avionics EFI-890R in the PC-12

OLATHE, KS (March 16, 2006) -- Kansas City Aviation Center (KCAC) and Universal Avionics announced a joint program to retrofit triple EFI-890R EFIS displays into the Pilatus PC-12 single-engine turboprop. The PC-12 has been the leading selling turboprop for the past few years and over 600 units have been sold worldwide. KCAC will hold the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the installations.

The EFI-890R displays are 8.9-inch diagonal, high-resolution displays and will be fully integrated with the existing avionics in the PC-12. The displays offer advanced technology and display features such as Synthetic Vision, Aeronautical Charts, Up-linked weather, TAWS, Video and a host of other emerging applications. These features will modernize the cockpit to improve situational awareness and add to the overall safety of each flight.

The high-resolution, large-format displays replace the aircraft’s existing ADI, HSI, radar indicator, altimeter, VSI, RMI and airspeed indicators creating an uncluttered cockpit environment with easy-to-reach, advanced flight data.

"Universal Avionics is extremely competitive and has a tremendous team to support their products. Our PC-12 owners have been looking for a state-of-the-art upgrade for their world class aircraft, and our partnership with Universal Avionics will provide the answer to our customers’ needs. We plan to offer the Universal EFI-890R displays and numerous options as part of the Pilatus retrofit program," said Angelo Fiataruolo, President of KCAC.

The first phase of the installation process has already begun and final flight testing will be completed in the second quarter of 2006.
